Update - My Lens

Dreamy Diana
I bought a Diana+ Dreamer camera a while back. It is a great little camera but takes tons of practice.

I still have a lot of film yet to develop and have had a lot of film already come up totally blank but here is a collection of the better ones. When you get this camera to work, man, does it work.

I absolutely love the hazy, dreamy effect you get from it. all of these photos are untouched by photoshop or any digital editor, the filter effects are entirely the devise of the analogue camera... More

Update - My Lens

Time-haggard Foreboding
This is a small collection of polaroids that didn't take to time so well. Though they have faded, I think it adds in creating a foreboding surrealism to the scene... More

Update - My Scribbles

People who back the wrong side lose the war, and go on losing.
I don't recall where I got the quotation from, however I conjured this piece under its influence.
The short story focuses more on the consequences of making a series a bad choices, rather than focusing on the choices themselves. It's nothing too serious, just a piece I did for sheer enjoyment.

The Losing Side
It was well past three am and a dense layer of smoke billowed through the grubby pub. It was almost empty, except for the hooded stranger who silently gulped a pint at the bar; at a round table near the centre of the room, sat a threesome, two of whom were grossly invested in a poker game.

The sinister man with the jagged front teeth, greasy black hair and cigarette burned shirt was the reason why Walter had to keep his pub open past serving hours; Psycho Bill, they called him. Scrawny and unkempt, he could have been mistaken for any lowlife thug, Bill, however, was in actual fact the highly influential leader of a local gang and he ran the entire town... More

Update - My Lens

This was shot and edited over a three day period. I was required to make a non-dialogue narrative film for an assignment for college. I am fascinated with the style of the 40s and wanted to make a classy, stylish piece, inspired from film noir. I had a crew of three people, plus myself.

Update - My Scribbles

All About Me
I am just fresh from college, released into the big bad world. I studied multimedia for 5 years - 2 years in ST. John's Central College in Cork, 2 years in Cork Institute of Technology and I did a term in Darmstadt, Germany, as an Erasmus student.

I then studied film for a year in St. John's Central College, Cork. Because of my previous multimedia experience I was admitted directly into 2nd year of the course.

I have a vast knowledge of media studies. Studying multimedia gave me a very rounded perspective with film, animation, audio, graphic design, web design, creative thinking, cognitive thinking, beginner phscology and film theory. I excelled greatly at film and as such, when I finished my multimedia course, I decided to specialise in the field of film. I really enjoyed my time at St. John's and felt the film course and the teachers are excellent.

In the course I excelled mostly in editing, script writing and producing. Though these are all very different areas of the industry, I feel I have a great aptitude for all three. Script writing allows my imagination to run free and lets me be very creative. I thoroughly enjoy the creativity and technical aspects of editing. It is amazing how many ways the same story can be told through editing. I feel my producing skills are very good. I work well under pressure and I naturally embraced the role of a producer.
